Kansas City, MO – Equipment operators, truck drivers, and laborers looking for new job opportunities are invited to attend the March 22, 2025, Sunflower Job Fair in Kansas City, Missouri. Hosted by Cape Environmental Management Inc (CAPE), the job fair will be focused on hiring individuals for environmental remediation services at the former Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant in DeSoto, Kansas.

“This is a great opportunity for people with construction experience,” said James Waller, Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist for CAPE. Pay is based on experience and starts at $28/hour for equipment operators, $24/hour for truck drivers, and $21/hour for laborers. The work is expected to begin in mid-April and is expected to last up to 30 months.

The Sunflower Job Fair will be held from 9am-7pm in the La Paz Ballroom of the Embassy Suites by Hilton Kansas City Plaza. Applicants are asked to provide their resumes and interviews will be done on-site. Each interview will last approximately 15-20 minutes. Applicants will be seen on a first-come, first-interviewed basis.
